GLASS INC. RESPONSE TO COVID-19

While the world is focused on combating the COVID-19 pandemic, Glass Inc. is also doing its part to ensure a healthy work environment. We take the health of our customers and associates seriously. Measures are being taken to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus while conducting business in accordance with the directions from the CDC. Glass Inc. is committed to supporting the needs of our customers while working to prevent transmission of the virus and maintaining a healthy operation.

As of May 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated its Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers Responding to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The published guidance helps businesses plan, prepare, and respond to the Coronavirus disease while safeguarding the well-being of customers, employees, and communities.

As of May 6, the updated strategies and recommendations include: conducting daily health checks, conducting a hazard assessment of the workplace, encouraging employees to wear cloth face coverings in the workplace, if appropriate, implementing policies and practices for social distancing in the workplace, and improving the building ventilation system. As of May 21, there have been three updates to the guidance. They include updated cleaning and disinfection guidance, updated best practices for conducting social distancing, and updated strategies and recommendations that can be implemented now to respond to COVID-19.

Our company is closely monitoring guidance and developments from the CDC and government authorities. Here are some of the actions that Glass Inc. is taking to protect the health and well-being of our customers, employees, and the community.

A Clean Workplace

Regardless of the pandemic, we recognize that keeping our workplace clean is not only professional, but it is necessary to support the health of our employees and customers. Therefore, we keep the office and shop maintained and organized.

Social Distancing

According to the CDC, social distancing is an ideal way to limit face-to-face contact and more importantly reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, we request that customers and employees please remain 6 feet apart. This measure will limit the chance of exposure to the virus.

Sneeze Guard Barriers

To prevent exposure and reduce face-to-face contact, our shop has constructed custom made sneeze guard barriers for our office. They contain viral mucus and droplets from coughing and sneezing; which in turn protect individuals. In addition, Glass Inc. is working with local government agencies and private businesses to manufacture custom barriers out of our special glass and aluminum railing systems.

To learn more about the virus and ways to shield you and your family from it, please visit the CDC’s website. There is an abundance of up-to-date information and guidance that will help you navigate these difficult times as safely as possible.

The Coronavirus has significantly impacted our world, but we must adapt and not lose hope. Glass Inc. cares about our community, our customers, and our employees. We are working hard to provide a safe workplace and prevent the coronavirus from spreading. As we trudge forward, we will closely monitor the guidance from the CDC and implement applicable new guidance as it is published.
